A huge and lively market with an incredible variety of food, from freshly prepared street food to packaged snacks, as well as plenty of clothing and other shopping stalls. As Muslim travelers, it was a bit challenging to find something we could eat. That said, with a little searching, we still managed to find a few things to try and enjoyed our visit. We visited Gwangyang Market at night to experience the famous food scene, and overall, we had a great time! The atmosphere was lively and it was fun to walk through the stalls. However, I would note that the food selection felt a bit limited—most of the vendors seemed to be selling very similar dishes. While everything we tried was tasty, I wish there had been a bit more variety to explore. Still, it’s a worthwhile stop if you’re in the area and want to try the local specialties!

Ladies, put this market on your list. If you travel with kids, there are loads of things to see, eat, and shop for. There’s Squid Game sugar candy game – definitely worth giving it a try.
